The curriculum

Four modules. One complete programme.

Each module combines self-paced online learning with a live group session, so you get the flexibility to learn on your schedule, and the depth that only comes from direct expert interaction.

Module 1
Credit Fundamentals & Risk Assessment
The foundation of the Credit Academy. This module establishes the core principles every credit professional needs regardless of experience level. Participants develop a shared language around commercial credit risk, learn to apply the C's framework, build financial analysis skills, and understand how credit limits and terms are structured. The module is designed for mixed-level cohorts, experienced practitioners will consolidate and formalise their knowledge while new entrants build from first principles.
Self-paced + live group session
Module 2
The Credit Cycle — Collections, DSO & Portfolio Management
Where credit risk becomes daily operations. This module covers the full order-to-cash cycle and how credit professionals manage receivables, collections activity, and portfolio health. Participants develop practical skills in aging analysis, DSO calculation, dispute resolution, and the critical relationship between credit and Sales teams. The module bridges theoretical credit knowledge into the day-to-day reality of managing a live receivables portfolio.
Self-paced + live group session
Module 3
Credit Policy, Compliance & Decision Making
The final Level 1 module moves participants from operational skills to policy level thinking. It builds the judgement and decision making frameworks required to navigate complex credit situations consistently and defensibly. Covering the structure of credit policy, the legal and compliance landscape in B2B credit, and escalation frameworks, Module 3 prepares participants for the leadership track. Rather than a quiz, it concludes with a structured written reflection that serves as the bridge into Level 2.
Self-paced + live group session
Module 4
Credit Leadership — Strategy, Culture & Influence
Module 4 shifts the focus from practitioner to strategic leader. Participants learn to build and lead high performing credit teams, design and influence credit policy at the organisational level, communicate credit risk in business language to executives and boards, and navigate the credit function through economic and business cycle pressures. The module culminates in a simulated case study, the Meridian Industrial Supply scenario, which participants must complete and present to a panel to achieve graduation.
